Product Description

The most infamous anti-drug film ever made, Reefer Madness is a one of the most celebrated vintage films in history. Taking campy cult classic to the highest possible level, this is the film where marijuana smokers end up in insane asylums. But in the beginning, its a story about happy-go-lucky youngsters just out to have a good time. Mae, Jake, Bill and Blanche all become embroiled in a vicious (and ridiculous) confluence of drugs, sex, rape, violence, and insanity - as these acts were viewed in the 1930s. Marijuana, of course, is the main culprit of the film. The drug is hilariously misrepresented, which is just the start of the hilarity offered by this absurd film. Sexual hallucinations and lines like, "hell be okay, all you have to do is keep him from having too many reefers" elevate this film to its deserved status of cult classic. A perfect blend of sensational propaganda and absurd antics, there will never be another Reefer Madness.
